Low density private beach and truly beachfront

I love that in a crowded area the beach is private with only 13 units. A view that is amazing! The unit itself is good. The kitchen is stocked well. Cons: It could use a deep clean. The couches are comfortable but worn.

The beds are quite uncomfortable. Maybe this could be solved with a foam topper or something similar.
A wonderful experience

"The manager at the Beach Rentals of South Walton office was AWESOME. We asked for early checkin, and she said she would call us the day we were scheduled to check in to let us know once the room was clean - and she actually did that. I can't tell you how many times I've been told something like that, and the person never follows up.
We were able to check in at noon, rather than the originally scheduled 4:00. Made our first day wonderful.
We waived the cleaning inspection, and while you could tell the townhome had been cleaned, there was still sand visible in several areas. However, we overlooked it, because we were so happy to get in early and we realized we had waived the inspection.
Only other issue is that the master bath shower was leaking, but that was manageable.
As for Walton Dunes, I've been going to the beach since I was a small child, and Walton Dunes is by far my favorite place to stay. Very private and right on the beach. And unit #9 was great, and it was clear that upgrades had been made since we last stayed there - mainly in the kitchen. Walton Dunes is a little pricey, but it is worth it.
Overall, a wonderful experience!"
