The hidden jewel of the Emerald Coast
Sea Breeze

Known by some as South Walton County or the Beaches of South Walton, this area is also commonly referred to simply as 30-A, after the curving county road that links this memorable collection of villages, enclaves and resorts.
With landmark dunes often being the tallest part of the horizon, this area is decidedly low-key yet equally upscale in its offering of accommodations, shopping, galleries, dining and events. Attractions here are largely of the natural sort, with photo-worthy series of parks and trails.



The shopping is legendary in South Walton, with clusters of shops, galleries and boutiques tucked between the villages and dunes. Other shopping includes:

  • Seaside’s Perspicacity Market—an open-air source for local and exotic goods
  • Rosemary Beach—galleries, shops and other offerings in a West Indies environment
  • Watercolor—a popular New Urban-type atmosphere of shops and dining

  • Bud & Alley’s was one of the first great restaurants in the area and continues to please with its top-shelf menu and rooftop bar. 2236 E. 30-A, Seaside. (850) 231-5900.

  • Walking the streets of famous New Urbanist towns like Seaside and Rosemary Beach
