The home is surrounded by Florida native trees, scenic roads, and shaded foot paths. 

Your family vacation at "A Whale's Tail" includes access to all the fantastic amenities the Watercolor neighborhood has to offer. You can relax close to home and enjoy the nearby Dragonfly Pool with a fire pit for some low-key evening entertainment, or any of the four community swimming pools, tennis facilities, and club house; or get out for some fun in the sun at one of the nearby golf courses, state parks, or of course – beaches! This ravishing home features a screened-in front porch on the main level with immense French glass doors and comfortable seating. The upstairs balcony is located on the second floor off the master bedroom, overlooking the prolific natural beauty of Florida's native pines & palms. It's impossible not to relax in this setting!

The home also features two guest suites, one with a king bed and private bathroom with an updated shower and the second with a queen bed and private bathroom with shower/tub combo. And if that isn't enough, there's even more room for guests with the extra bunk room and queen sleeper sofa on the first floor.

I had been to Destin before. I had been to Panama City Beach before. What I did not know was that right between them is the most amazing place in the continental USA; and this BEAUTIFUL home (it's too cozy to call it a house) made our first stay there even more spectacular! If you're reading this review, you likely already know about Seaside and WaterColor, so if your plans take you to this wonderful ocean city, I would HIGHLY recommend this home for your next trip. We couldn't find anything wrong with it. Literally! It was close to grocery/liquor store as you come into town but then completely secluded from it all at the same time. The place was decorated wonderfully. The screened-in porch was awesome for relaxing. The kitchen is amazing. Even the bed and sheets were nicer than what I sleep on at home!! Everything was perfect and the process in/out was easy-peazy, lemon-squeezy. I will absolutely be back to this wonderful property again. LOVED IT!!!

This charming home had everything we needed and more. It was so comfortable and relaxing and felt like we were in a perfect beach hideaway. We parked our car in the driveway and never used it again. We biked everywhere for our morning coffee, charming boutique shopping, delicious lunch and dinners and the sunsets were amazing. If you want to go to paradise without leaving the country- you have to check out this best kept secret.

This beautiful home is a great place to relax, enjoy privacy, and spend time with family and friends. It's beautifully decorated and has all the amenities you could ask for. The location is great with easy access to the beach, town center, pools and biking trails. The home is set up well to accommodate groups of friends or families with children. I highly recommend this property.

This is my third time back at this property and I keep coming back for a reason. The house is so comfortable, the decorations are fun, and the location is fantastic. It's great for families as there are many parks and pools very close. Since it's in Watercolor, you get access to all 5 pools and the beach club which is a big plus. We loved sitting on the screened in front porch as a family but it's also nice to have access to the upstairs porch for some quiet reading. Great value. Highly recommend it.

Great house. Loved all the rooms and it's easy passage to Publix. Literally only a 2 min walk. Great neighborhood. Only a 3 min drive to beach or a 6 minute bike ride. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it for spring break or any other visit to Seaside beach.

I stayed in this beautiful house in November. It was a perfect get away for 7 friends stocked with everything we needed. The decor was all Florida. Loved the porches upstairs & down, the large living spaces, the beach club & riding the property bikes to shop, go to lunch, to beach & to explore the area. I would highly recommend this property!

I had the pleasure of staying in this unit for 5 days and only wish that I could have stayed longer. The unit is absolutely beautiful. It is spacious and has all of the features and amenities anyone could want (bathroom for each bedroom, flat screen with cable in each bedroom, beautiful beach decor....). It is close to the beach, shops and restaurants. Once we arrived, we only took our car to go to dinner at night. We rode our bikes everywhere so we were able to get some exercise before we ate the fabulous food at the local restaurants. It is a stone's throw from the grocery store so we didn't even have to take our car to go there. Great location, beautiful home, wonderful vacation. I look forward to returning.

Beyond Relaxing

I enjoyed a very relaxing and fun girls get away. Once we arrived we let all the everyday cares melt away. The cottage was very well appointed and so comfortable. The location was ideal. We biked everywhere. It was close enough to shopping and dining that we could all do exactly what we wanted. We didn't have to worry about taking our one car anywhere. We did a day trip to Destin and a farmers market up the coast. But I thought all the best restaurants and shopping were right where we were staying. And the bike trails were the best. Very easy; anyone can ride them. Oh, and the beach--gorgeous. I look forward to another vacation there.

I cannot say enough about this beautiful and relaxing home. I loved that we were so close to great restaurants, beaches, shopping etc. and had the option to walk or ride bikes around the grounds. This was a convenient option if you have a family or group of people as everyone can choose to do different things. The home itself was beautifully decorated with a beach theme and I loved having the W/Dryer on the 2nd floor near the bedrooms. The living space was open to the kitchen so everyone felt included, yet the bedroom and outside porch & den offered seclusion and privacy. This was one of the best vacations we have taken in years and I have already recommended this property to others. You will not be disappointed.
